Yeah yeah, we know...
It has been a while, and for that we are sorry.
Just that we lacked motivation and we dont have that much to write about in off season right now.
However - now its time to pick it up again!
We can start of with the fact that we are nowing down a floor on tuesday, not that interesting, but its nice as we get a new room mate: Glenna. Courtney ditched us for LISA! We are alright with that tho... They will be staying in one of the buildings we clean, Springs. That will give us a nice checkpoint from which we can expand our influence across panorama!
Also a place to eat lunch, sleep and party at! But dont tell them that, they dont know yet!
Lisa - the girl that went home just to get rid of 2 wisdom teeth and then find a job is coming back tuesday night! Sweet we say! She is gonna work as inventory during the off season and then front desk during winter, if she decides to stay.
She will have a tough time tho as she has to study at the same time, but we will help her get through!
We are excited!
Can also report that we were at the gym today, just 30mins of running but we are getting there more and more often now! stay tuned for upcoming reports from the gym!
(Niklas) My mom called me the other day on my cell phone - that was a great moment, but unfortunaly you have to pay for incoming calls, so i ran out of money, hope she can get skype soon!
ppl back home, thanks for the mail! I really appreciate walking to the post office to find mail waiting for me!

Delusion of grandeur
That's right! Delusion of grandeur, for those of you that doesn't know it means 'Storhetsvansinne'.
Brad (our boss) confronted us today and told us something that happened during the "big-boss-meeting" earlier. We just earned the status of 'The best com team ever". We are climbing towards the top. We will soon ask Brad to bring us coffee during work.
Otherwise this was a pretty tough day, as we started deep cleaning the hotel (ghetto) Pine Inn. Deep clean basically means that we have to clean all the walls, behind everything, all the floors, all the windows. And everything has to shine like never before. It's a really tough job. At least we don't have to walk around thinking "what should we do now?". There's so much to do.
Right now we're sitting here in our lonely unit, defrosting some ground beef so we can make the famous "Flottfärsås". This will probably be a slow evening like the last ones. There's no one here to really do anything with.
Looking forward to the 25th September when we move in with Courtney and Glenna. That's going to be so fun. To have more people to share our lives with.

I, Niklas, am going to the gym! All alone as Matt is working and has been fighting this cold since forever!
It is a historical event as it was more than half a year since I moved my body for the reason to excercise and the fact that I never, ever workout alone!

Yet another loooong day at work yesterday, it sucks to be alone, period. Had time to do everything that was needed even tho I tried to slack a little, ended up using 2 bottles of Air freshener, exciting huh? :P
Anyway, got ambushed by Courtney and Matt at 6, they wanted me to eat dinner with them at tbar. Perfect!
Ordered food and a corona bucket! here we go!
For the record, Matts bag was full of booze.
Once at home we started with a nice Baileys/Kahlua drink, perfect mood boost!
Then Courtney and Brad decided to come over and the games began, they strike hard and with an iron fist you know!
- I got to ride the bus! WOHO!
We had to make up our mind after that, bar or no bar? POKER!
Poker attracted the rest of the Ausssies as well! Niklas was out first, Matt won the shit!
At this time (when niklas was upstairs) someone recieved a msg saying the bar was dead, so that was a 100% no go.
Then brad and nick got the brightest of ideas! Lets swim in the glaciar river! ODEBOOOO!
It was a fun and interesting night guys!

A day of compliments
This was a good day. It started with Brad, our boss, telling us that we will get free drinks at JackPine because of our great job cleaning it after the "End of Summer" party. He added "You will at least get one free drink". That was good enough for us and we went on working with a smile on our faces. In the afternoon we got a call from Abby, Nicks supervisor, on the radio, she wanted to meet us. We both were thinking "What have we done now?" but all she wanted to say was that the elevators in Springs looked absolutely perfect. More compliments for Team Sweden!

A lonely day
Hello!
Nick is working, so I'm here all alone. It's kinda boring actually, but it's nice in it's own way.
I've spent the day so far fixing with the proxy server that I'm using to get by the restrictions here. It works great, just fixed so that we can play games online, use torrents and some other small things.
It's been a slow day, but I've had time to do the dishes.
My mom called me yesterday, since I've missed the e-mails she sent me she decided to call. That made me feel happy :) Thanks for the call mom!
It'll soon be weekend and more days off, I just have to work tomorrow (Friday) then I have Saturday and Sunday off. Nick only got Sunday off, so it isn't that good. But at least we have one day off together.
I will probably continue this day as I've started it, beeing a nerd in front of the computer, fixing with the proxy server and setting up Nicks computer so he can use it as well.

Hello all!
We are a bit lazy with the blogg but i can assure you we got our hands full.
Have to give you an update on the situation.
September comes rushing and with that, so does the departure of almost everyone we have gotten to know :/ That is not a very fun moment, but we will last! Just have to wait until ppl start arriving in november, then we will have alot to celebrate!
Anyway, we went to the golf course this evening to eat dinner and say goodbye to our friends.
We had Monument Ribs for starters and finished off with a nice New Yorker(steak).
Ordered it rare, and rare it was! Tomas - you would have liked it!
Oh, almost forgot, it rained yesterday! guess what, the mountainpeaks of the highermountains are now covered with snow! WEEEE!
Cant really describe how excited we are!
The view up here during the summer is amazing, so we can only guess that the winter will be even better, and with the winter comes snow = snowboarding!
Niklas got tomorrow off! Me like! Might keep matt company during breakfast, or i just lay in bed hehe.

Saturday
Last night was a night of partying, we were supposed to end up at JackPines "New Years Eve"-theme party. We stod in the line at the door for 10 minutes, then we decided to leave.
The morning was a bit tough, even though we didn't drink that much Matt had to puke twice this morning before work. It was probably something that he ate, as he didn't feel bad or hungover, just a bit tired. The day went on pretty smooth except for the T-Bar washrooms. We even played rock, paper, scissors to decide who's doing what. Nick won and screamed "Yes, I get to clean the shitty toilets!!", which meant that Matt had to deal with the spew that someone had left in one of the sinks.
Earlier that night we cooked dinner for all of those who wanted to eat. Steffen, Courtney and Nathan showed up. Thanks for the recipe Robin A. They all liked it, even though they were a bit skeptical in the beginning. The night continued with beer and music and some good games. DJ joined us for the drinking games. We all left staff accom at around 11 PM.

We both are going to bed now (10:30 PM), Nick is working tomorrow so he needs the sleep and Matt is just tired.

oh yeah, btw, courtney thinks the distance to australia is longer than to sweden, as canada is to the left on the map, sweden in the middle and australia is to the very far south east...

An interesting day
The day started with me (Matt) waking up in what I thought was the morning and there were heavy rain and thunder storms. I really didn't wanna walk to work in that weather, by the time I looked at the watch it was only 3:40 AM. Back to sleep.
The alarm woke me up at 6:30 AM, I got up while Nick got to sleep. I had a good breakfast and went to work, as a Common Area Attendant. I got a small training in the morning with my supervisors and then I joined Paul and Emily and started doing the 'walkthroughs' in the buildings. We didn't really do that much because Paul had already finished the T-Bar toilets and Ski Tip toilets. It was an interesting day, really. Cleaning mixed with just sitting in the 'Com rooms' talking to each other. It was a fun day and I'm looking forward to the next one.
The radios are awesome btw!

Just gave my phone number to some workers at the contructionsite, hoping that my creditcards are in thier boss's car. Gonna hitchhike with mike into town, backtrack my footsteps from yesterday and hope for the best!

There is something special about recieving letters and mail, regular mail that is. Just got a postcard from my family and a letter from my sister!
Magic! have to admit that it moved me quite a bit, its always special to hear from those back home, knowing that they are alright and that they do think of me :)
Thank you sis for the "trisslott" unfortunely i didnt win, but for about 3mins i was a millionaire, the next second it was just a piece of paper:P

had a splendid day today!
we went with courtney into town today and went to the bank, bargain shop and then the beach!
Spent all day in the sun, the weather turned out to be great for tanning as both me and mathias turned red :D
so eventually we walked back to town and went to the grocery store.
The plan was to have dinner together, the more the merrier, right?
So i paid the cashier with my -now working canadian creditcard!
yay! so far so good!
then we walked straight down to the panorama sign to get a lift back up the mountain.
We had to wait for a while but were saved by a nice couple just before the rain would have hit us. The man was apparently the manager of the company which is building the new condos down in "lower" part of the village.
So here we are now, i (niklas) have lost my creditcard-case :/ somewhere between the grocerystore and home I lost all my frikken creditcards, ids and my staff pass!! great, i feel amused!
Now im busy talking to some canadian chick on msn who is trying to teach me english :)
will out up some pics from today in the morning!

Just finished watching tenacious d with nathan and matt, great movie!
We invited Courtney over for dinner earlier today, we made tacos and we were totally satisfied with the result. Tomorrow the three of us will go into town, check out some boards, visit the bank and do other business related stuff - then we are going to the beach!
Guess we are going to have a great day tomorrow, lets hope we will!
Oh, and we kinda cleaned our whole appartment, coz apparently we are getting 2 new roommates soon! exciting to see who it is!
And finally had to make my bed, sad but true :)
